Maintenance Technician

Mint Properties maintenance technicians are responsible for everything from the most basic elements of maintaining properties (replacing light bulbs!), to the most complex heating, plumbing, and electrical issues that arise in apartment buildings.  We will provide all the necessary tools and training to succeed, including a class to obtain your boiler license.  This is a full-time position with most hours scheduled Monday-Friday between 8AM-4:30PM.  There is also an on-call component to the job which rotates weekly.  Each tech takes an on-call shift 4-5 times per year.

Requirements:

  • Pass Kari Koskinen Act criminal background check
  • Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and a reliable vehicle
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Capable of lifting 75 pounds unassisted
  • Ability to work on your feet for 8 hours per day
  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work well with minimal supervision
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specified procedures
  • Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills

Leasing Agent

Mint Properties leasing agents are responsible for the advertising, showing, and leasing of apartment units in the company portfolio.  We will provide all the necessary training to succeed, including opportunities to attend Minnesota Multi-Housing Association classes. Most positions are full-time, though there may be part-time positions available. Most hours are scheduled Monday-Saturday between 10AM-6PM.

Skills:

  • Ability to read, write, and speak fluently in English
  • Bilingual, if possible (preferably in Spanish or Somali)
  • Ability to work well with minimal supervision, and with honesty and integrity
  • Available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends
  • Strong phone and in-person communication skills: Speaks in a warm, friendly, and professional manner; Writes clearly and informatively; Listens and gets clarification; Responds well to questions
  • Dresses appropriately and professionally

Education and Requirements:

  • Pass Kari Koskinen Act criminal background check.
  • Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and a reliable vehicle
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Capable of lifting and carrying 10 pounds unassisted, while climbing or descending stairs
  • Ability to work on your feet for up to 8 hours per day
  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions
  • 1 year of customer service experience
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications

Cleaner

Mint Properties cleaners are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and visual appeal of interior common areas at all our properties. Cleaners are also responsible for cleaning vacant apartments to prepare for new residents.  We will provide the necessary training to succeed.  Most positions are full-time, though there may be part-time positions available.  Most hours are scheduled between Monday-Thursday 8AM-4:30PM and Saturday 8AM-4:30 PM.

  • Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and a reliable vehicle
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted, while climbing or descending stairs
  • Ability to work on your feet for 8 hours per day
  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions
  • Strong work ethic; demonstrate integrity and reliability
  • Enjoy working with others and taking direction when needed
